UGA in Niteroi, Brazil, sponsored by the Department of Romance Languages, and UGA Espaņa, sponsored by the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and the Terry College of Business, are building upon the successes of their 2001 programs for the future.
Dr. Susan Quinlan, Director of the program in Brazil, said student interest in the program was high and continues to grow. A total of 19 students were able to participate in 2001, four more than originally planned. "This program attracts students from all areas of arts and sciences and the business school who want to increase their job options in today's global market." Marta Almeida, who worked with Dr. Quinlan on the Summer 2001 program, calls it "the perfect immersion program (Continued on page 2)
