CREATIVE WRITING HIGHLIGHTED AT
R
OMANCE LANGUAGES SOCIAL HOUR

The second Romance Languages Social Hour, hosted by Department Head Noel Fallows, was held February 20, 2002 at the Globe in downtown Athens. Students, Faculty and Staff in attendance had the opportunity to hear about the creative writing activities of three members of the Department. Luis Correa-Díaz, Assistant Professor of Spanish and author of the poetry books Divina Pastora, Rosario de actos de habla, Ojo de buey, and Bajo la pequeña música de su pie, read from his recent lyric poetry. Benjamín Milano, Instructor and Preceptor of Spanish, read selections from his lyric poetry which has appeared in the journals Dactylus and Torre de papel, and performed an original song. Roberta Fernández, Assistant Professor of Spanish, read from both the English and Spanish editions of her award-winning novel, Intaglio: a Novel in Six Stories.
