Professor Baillehache earned a PhD from Rutgers University and Université Paris 8 in French Literature and Comparative Literature respectively. He defended his dissertation on the translation of Russian experimental poetry in 2012. He has published and presented about translation studies and electronic literature, and he is currently working on a manuscript about French translation theorist Antoine Berman.

He teaches courses on 20th and 21st century French Literature, electronic literature, video games and rap music.
