JULIE GREER JOHNSON

Professor Emerita of Spanish
Ph.D., Indiana University, 1975

Dr. Julie Greer Johnson has research interests in women, printing, theater, and satire in the New World. Her most recent book is Satire in Colonial Spanish America (University of Texas Press, 1993). She has been the recipient of scholarships and fellowships from the Ford Foundation, the Fulbright Scholarship Program, the John Carter Brown Library at Brown, the Columbian Quincentennial Program at the Newberry Library of Chicago, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Spanish Ministry of Culture.
