TIMOTHY RASER

Professor of French
Ph.D., Yale University, 1982

Dr. Timothy Raser has research interests in 19th century French poetry and ‘sthetics, and the relation of literature and the visual arts. He has published A Poetics of Criticism: The Case of Baudelaire, the selected papers of the 23rd annual NCFS colloquium, Peripheries of Nineteenth-Century French Literature, which is in press, and articles on Hugo, Baudelaire and Proust in the Romanic Review, Nineteenth-Century French Studies, French Forum, and SubStance. He is currently conducting research into the rhetoric of art criticism.
