HILDEBRANDO RUIZ

Associate Professor Emeritus of Spanish
Ph.D., Indiana University, 1979

Dr. Hildebrando Ruiz has research interests in Spanish linguistics, applied linguistics, and foreign language teacher development. His recent publications on these topics include articles in Revista Canadiense de Estudios Hispánicos and On Spanish, Portuguese and Catalan Linguistics (1988). He has also contributed chapters on "The Impregnability of Textbooks: The Example of American Foreign Language Education" to Initiatives on Communicative Language Teaching II (1987), and on "The Role of Technique in Teacher Training" to Institutional Responsibilities and Responses in the Employment and Education of Teaching Assistants (1987).
