Two of our Sigma Delta Pi members, Karishma Dayani and Emily Gibson, have been awarded 2016 Sigma Delta Pi Undergraduate Study Abroad Awards of $2,500. They were selected for these awards from a very competitive pool of applicants from all over the U.S. There were only 16 awards made, and UGA was the only institution with TWO winners. Ms. Dayani will be joining the UGA en España program in Valencia, and Ms. Gibson will be taking part in two programs abroad this summer: UGA en Buenos Aires and the Language and Culture Service Learning program at the UGA Costa Rica campus. Please wish them “¡Felicitaciones!” for these national awards, and the best of luck in their travels abroad over the coming months.
