Masters in Romance Language Literature - Portuguese and Spanish - from the University of Georgia. I graduated from the Federal University of Ceará with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature. My current research interest involves dialectal translation of Cordels  (Brazilian Folk-Poetry) written in Brazilian northeastern Portuguese into American Southern English. I was the recipient of the 2018 LACSI Graduate Field Research Award funded by the UGA Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and the UGA Graduate School. I was a Fulbright Portuguese Teaching Assistant, 2015-2016, in the University of Georgia, GA, the United States. I have been working as a Language Teaching Assistant in the Portuguese Department of the University of Georgia since then. My other academic experiences are related to Applied Linguistics and English studies and Online Environments. As a researcher in this area, I have studied online interaction, teaching / learning of English, and collaborative dialogue. I was a language tutor in the Language Tutorial program offered by the Federal University of Ceará. I was a language tutor in the Portuguese Flagship Program kept in partnership with LACSI Latin American & Caribbean Studies Institute at UGA. I was an English teacher assistant at Casa de Cultura Britânica (British House).
