for uga students The Department of Romance Languages offers free language tutoring for current students in French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. All tutoring is led by our graduate students and takes place primarily in Gilbert Hall, Room 408. New this Fall 2026 is the addition of the Romance Languages Writing Center with its new Writing Coaches assisting students with writing related questions. Find them in Gilbert Hall, Room 408. Over 1300 Romance Languages undergraduate majors, minors, and graduate students are currently enrolled in our small interactive classes on the University of Georgia campus, exploring rich cultural, linguistic and literary worlds across the globe while gaining fluency in French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
