Who May Apply

To be eligible for the Language Communities, applicants must:

• Have completed FREN 2001 or SPAN 2001, or an equivalent course, before joining.
• Do not need to be a French or Spanish major or minor.
• Must demonstrate:
  • A strong interest in speaking the language.
  • A sincere commitment to participating in community activities.

How to Apply

1. Online Application
   • Deadline: 5 p.m. on Reading Day of the Fall Semester.
     • French Language Community Application
     • Spanish Language Community Application
2. After Submission
   • Applications will be reviewed after the deadline.
   • Finalists will be invited to an interview with the faculty coordinator.
   • Final selections (including alternates) will be announced by mid-January.
   • Late applications will be accepted until:
     • All spaces are filled, or
     • April 1st, whichever comes first.
