Romance Languages Major

With the Romance Languages major students may choose to pursue proficiency in a combination of any two languages, or select the single language option in Italian, for example, to focus solely on one language in enhanced interdisciplinary studies.  Talk to our department's advisors and faculty to learn about the unique training this major affords for students prepared to develop multilingual skills that may include Spanish and that expand into French, Italian, and Portuguese.

What are the advantages of a major in Romance Languages?

Find out from Grace St. Urbain, graduate of UGA '20, double major in Romance Languages and International Affairs.  Employed as a Bilingual Victim Advocate, Cobb County District Attorney's Office, upon graduation, Grace speaks French and Spanish and is a future immigration attorney studying at the University of Massachusetts School of Law since 2021.
