Master's Student, French, Teaching Assistant of French

My name is Alina Linchevska, and I am from Kyiv, Ukraine. I graduated from Kyiv National Linguistic University with a B.A. in Humanities, specializing in French language, literature, and translation. I studied 19th and 20th-century French literature and explored the psychology in Sidonie-Gabriel Colette’s novels, especially "Claudine’s House." I also examined French colloquial language and its unique features. For my senior thesis, I researched the modern slang found in French hip-hop music. At that time, I also became interested in enhancing my French language teaching skills and earned my PROFLE+ certification to develop my teaching competencies.

I am now a second-year M.A. student in French and a graduate teaching assistant at UGA. I am currently teaching French 1110. My research focuses on how contemporary Francophone authors represent multilingualism and cultural identity.

In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, going for walks, and spending time with friends and family. I also love reading and crocheting.
