Dr. Sandrine Zawacki is a Lecturer of French. She received a master’s degree in political science and sociology from the University of Paris IX-Dauphine in 2004, and more recently a Ph.D. in Sociology through the University of Paris-Gustave Eiffel. Her dissertation addressed cultural comparisons between France and the United States, focusing on how professional artists, especially ceramicists, adapt and evolve according to different institutional contexts. She is herself a potter.

She moved to the United States in 2006 to teach at the University of Georgia. She enjoys sharing her native language and her culture with her students.
