Brent Hayes Edwards: “Black Radicalism and the Archive: Inventories of Fire”

Wednesday, March 3, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. (on Zoom)

Professor Edwards’ innovative scholarship links together African diasporic histories and literary traditions, drawing on African American, French, and Anglophone and Francophone Caribbean and African sources. His lecture addresses the archival practices and historiographic interventions of Black intellectuals as a form of radical politics, focusing on the example of the civil rights leader James Forman's unfinished book project on Martinican writer Frantz Fanon.

Open to all UGA members. Registration required before February 28th.
