Department of Romance Languages doctoral student Jorge García-Granados has been awarded a prestigious Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowship. These extremely competitive fellowships support a year of research and writing to help advanced graduate students in the humanities and social sciences in the last year of PhD dissertation writing. 

Romance Languages professor Dr. Dana Bultman is one of fourteen University of Georgia faculty members selected for the 2021 UGA Libraries Special Collections Fellows Program. Fellows will collaborate with archivists this May to design learning opportunities for students using historical materials.

Dr. Emily Sahakian, joint faculty in Theatre Studies and Romance Languages, has been named a recipient of the Richard B. Russell Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching, which recognizes outstanding instruction by faculty members early in their academic careers.
