Rosalie Vendrell will graduate this Spring with honors, a double major in Spanish and English, and the UGA Presidential Award of Excellence. A select group of UGA students receive this award in their final year of study. These individuals represent the top one percent of undergraduates at UGA who excel not only in academics but also in their service to the community and in their leadership both on and off campus.

"Tre poetesse della tradizione: La Compiuta Donzella, Isabella Andreini, Chiara Matraini" selected poems by three prominent Italian poetesses, moderated by Jorge García-Granados, and read by Steven Grossvogel, Paola De Santo and Thomas Peterson. 

Three faculty members in Italian will share their impressions on these fundamental Italian female poetic voices from the second half of the 13th century to the 16th century. 

The event will be in Italian and English. Everyone is welcome.
